Happy Earth Day! At CoCo Bleu we take our responsibility to protect the earth very seriously. We are proud to use biodegradable soy wax and recyclable packaging to minimise our impact on the environment.
Soy wax is a natural and renewable resource that is biodegradable and carbon-neutral. Unlike traditional paraffin wax, which is made from petroleum, soy wax is made from soybeans, a crop that is renewable. Soy wax also burns cleaner than paraffin wax, producing less soot and pollutants. We use fragrances that are paraben (a chemical preservative) & phthalate (a plasticizer) free. The wicks we use in candle making are made from cotton and are zinc free.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond just using soy wax. We use solar panels for our electricity, reducing our energy bills. We also use packaging that is both recyclable and made from recycled materials. By using recycled materials, we help reduce the demand for new materials and the energy required to produce them. This, in turn, helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.
We are also proud to say that we do not use any plastic in our packaging. Plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose and can have devastating effects on the environment. At CoCo Bleu, our wax melts are packaged in biodegradable bags, reducing our impact on the Earth and promoting a more sustainable future.
As a small business, we recognise that we have a role to play in protecting our planet. We may not be able to solve all of the world's environmental problems, but we can do our part to make a difference. By using biodegradable soy wax and recyclable packaging, we hope to inspire other to make more sustainable choices as well.
This Earth Day, we encourage everyone to think about the impact they are having on the environment and to take steps to reduce their carbon footprint. Whether it's by using reusable bags, reducing energy consumption, or supporting businesses that prioritize sustainability, every little bit helps.
